2014 is Your Year for GREAT SUCCESS!
"In everything he did he had great success, because the LORD was with him." - 1 Samuel 18:14.
For the past few months, as I was praying to our Lord for the promise for this New Year, He impressed in my heart that 2014 is the year of success for His children. Our Lord will turn around all your failures to success in this New Year 2014.
We all know that there are two spiritual kingdoms operating in this world. The kingdom of God and Kingdom of evil. The people of this world are governed by the Kingdom of darkness and the children of the Living God are governed by God Himself. There is going be a clear distinction between the subjects of these two kingdoms. I have listed a few characteristics of these kingdoms below:
Life vs. Death, Health vs. Sickness, Prosperity vs. Poverty, Blessings vs. Curses, Peace vs. Trouble, Faith vs. Fear, Love vs. Hate, Joy vs. Sorrow, Glory vs. Shame, Liberty vs. Slavery, Righteousness vs. Unrighteousness, Success vs. Failure.
The Bible clearly says when the darkness covers the world, the light of God will shine upon His children ( Isaiah 60:1-2). When the world faces all sorts of failures, this is the time for the children of God to move in success. The very reason why our Lord came into this world is to remove the spiritual darkness, to destroy the works of the devil and also to bestow all Heavenly blessings to His children.
...In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you] John16:33 AMP. The battle has already been fought and won by our Lord Jesus Christ. He is our champion. All we have to do is just apprehend that victory. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 15:57 NKJV).
When I compared 1 Samuel 18:14 in KJV, it says, "And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him." From the above, we could conclude that wisdom and success are like hand and gloves. The bible also says wisdom is the Principal thing.
" Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding" -Proverbs 4:7. Therefore I will say that wisdom is the key to success. What is wisdom? The Bible makes a distinction between two very different kinds of wisdom:
1) Worldly wisdom is the use of knowledge and information. It’s based on human understanding and reasoning, but it is foolishness to the Lord (1 Cor. 3:19).
2) Godly wisdom is the capacity to see things from the Father’s viewpoint and respond according to Scriptural principles. David was successful in the midst of adverse situations, because God was with him. David success was due to God’s wisdom. Let us mediate the key ways to operate in Godly wisdom.
1) Read and meditate Gods word.
When you read Psalm 1:2-3 in the Common English Bible, it says that those who love Gods word and meditate day and night will succeed in all their ways. Generally, many enter the new year with lot of resolution. But seldom, they adhere it. It is mainly due to lack of consistency. Jesus said those who continue to abide in him will bear much fruits. Hence continue to medicate Gods word, then you will surely receive wisdom from God.
2) Obedience to the Word of God.
The bible says fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Proverbs 1:7 KJV)The Bible says fear of God means obeying Gods Word. "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." (Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV).Therefore obedience to God’s Word helps you to receive Gods wisdom.
3) Seek the help of the Holy Spirit.
The Bible says God chose the foolish to confront the wise ( 1 Cor. 1:27). Our Lord used ordinary fisher folks to bring about Revival in this world and some of their writings we read in the Bible. Christ is the power and wisdom of God ( 1 Cor. 1:24). Christ means 'Anointed one.' When we say, Jesus Christ, it means Jesus is the Anointed One. Therefore the anointing of God helps you to receive the wisdom of God.
Seek God’s wisdom and you will succeed in all your undertakings. Many significant things are going to happen in your life. Whatever you doeth shall be successful!
Do not think about the failures and come to conclusion that it is the way of your life. Jesus Christ came into this world to give victory to His children in every area of your life. Seek the wisdom of God with all your heart and success will surely knock at your doors. May our Lord give you success in all your endeavours in this New Year 2014 !
